License agreement

End user license agreement for the computer program "onplate".

Version 1.0, 2 August 2026. This is an English translation provided for convenience; in case of any discrepancy, the Russian text — LICENSE.txt in the repository with the builds — prevails.

1. General

1.1. This agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into between Vladimir Tsymbal (the "Licensor") and any person using the computer program "onplate" (the "Software") — the "User".

1.2. The Agreement is a contract of adhesion (Article 428 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation) and a license agreement concluded in the simplified manner provided for by Article 1286(5) of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.

1.3. Installing, launching or otherwise using the Software constitutes the User's full and unconditional acceptance of this Agreement. A User who does not accept these terms may not use the Software and must delete all copies of it.

1.4. The Software is a desktop application for managing AI tool context: skills, MCP servers, subagents and packages. The Software is distributed as executable files; its source code is not provided and is not a subject of this Agreement.

2. License grant

2.1. The Licensor grants the User a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the Software.

2.2. The license is granted worldwide, for the term of the exclusive right in the Software.

2.3. Within the scope of the license the User may:

download the Software from the Licensor's official sources;
install and run the Software on an unlimited number of devices owned or controlled by the User;
use the Software for personal, educational and commercial purposes, including within the business of an organization the User works for or contracts with;
distribute unmodified copies of the Software to third parties free of charge, exactly as received from the Licensor, provided that all copyright notices and this Agreement are preserved.

2.4. No fee is payable to the Licensor for the license.

3. Restrictions

3.1. The User may not:

modify the Software, its executable files, resources or service data;
decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer the Software, except where expressly permitted by applicable law, including Article 1280 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation;
sell, rent, lease or charge any fee for transferring the Software;
remove or alter copyright notices, the name of the Software, information about the Licensor or the text of this Agreement;
use the name "onplate", its logo or other means of identification for the User's own products or services, or in any manner suggesting that the User's product originates from or is endorsed by the Licensor.

3.2. All rights not expressly granted by this Agreement are reserved by the Licensor. The exclusive right in the Software belongs to the Licensor and is not transferred under this Agreement.

4. Third-party components

4.1. The Software includes third-party components distributed under their own licenses. The list of such components and the texts of their licenses are provided in the THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES file included in the distribution and are available within the Software under Settings → About.

4.2. Third-party components are governed by their own license terms; to the extent those terms conflict with this Agreement, the terms of the respective component license prevail.

5. Data processing

5.1. The Software does not collect, transmit or publish the User's personal data. No account is required to use the Software.

5.2. Analysis of AI tool configurations, context size estimation, security scanning and parsing of local logs are performed on the User's device. The content of files, session logs and secrets is not transmitted off the device.

5.3. Network requests are made only at the User's initiative and only to the resources the User specifies or selects: version control repositories, external catalogs and marketplaces, MCP server registries, and the sources used to check for Software updates.

6. No warranty

6.1. The Software is provided "AS IS". The Licensor does not warrant that the Software will operate uninterrupted or error-free, that it is fit for the User's particular purposes, or that it is compatible with any particular software or hardware.

6.2. The Software modifies files and configurations of third-party AI tools installed on the User's device. The User is solely responsible for assessing the consequences of such changes and for safeguarding their data, including making backups.

6.3. Security, quality and context size assessments produced by the Software are informational, are based on heuristic rules, and are not a guarantee of the safety or suitability of the material being assessed. The decision to use any third-party skill, subagent, MCP server or package rests with the User.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages, loss or corruption of data, lost profits or other adverse consequences arising out of the use of or inability to use the Software.

7.2. The Software is provided free of charge, and accordingly the Licensor's liability is limited to the extent established by the mandatory provisions of applicable law.

8. Term and changes

8.1. The Agreement takes effect when the User begins using the Software and remains in force until the User ceases to use all copies of it.

8.2. The Licensor may change the terms of the Agreement for new versions of the Software and may discontinue distribution of the Software. Amended terms apply to versions distributed after they take effect; copies obtained earlier remain governed by the terms in force at the time they were obtained.

8.3. If the User breaches the restrictions in Section 3, the license terminates without further notice.

9. Governing law

9.1. This Agreement is governed by the law of the Russian Federation.

9.2. If the User is a consumer residing in a country whose law affords the User protection that cannot be limited by agreement, the mandatory provisions of that country's law continue to apply.
